Licensed and Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Lactation Counselor
Nicole Chen is a Certified Nurse Midwife born in Queens, raised in the Northeast section of the Bronx, and now resides in Mount Vernon, NY.
Nicole earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Lehman College. Nicole is a graduate of the Midwifery Program at New York University, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing/Midwifery. Nicole Chen began practicing Midwifery in 2014 at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she learned the skills and art of Midwifery from many gifted Midwives.
Nicole transitioned into the home birth world after working as a birthing assistant along side home birth midwives in Westchester, New York. She was intrigued by the positive energy between of the families and their birthing team, the power of the mothers to be, and the bond that was created between all.
Nicole believes in the power of natural birth, in which she opened her own home birth practice, Nurturing Faithful Caring Midwifery Care. Nicole is committed to providing full scope holistic midwifery care, which incorporates evidence-based practice while also incorporating the woman's autonomy in her care, as well as compassion for women through women’s health care in Westchester, NY and surrounding areas.
Nicole Chen is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), where she aspires to incorporate breastfeeding classes into her practice as well as other different courses to bring awareness and education to her clients.
Nicole is an extension the village and provided an abundance of wealth and knowledge.
